Detroit's WRIF makes it official - Arthur Penhallow is not coming back
He spent 39 years as the afternoon drive host on WRIF-FM (101.1) starting when Nixon was President and the station was known as WXYZ. That long run is officially over, as WRIF parent company Greater Media announces that contract negotiations are over and Penhallow won’t return. Greater Media Detroit Market Manager John Gallagher says, “We are disappointed that we couldn’t come to a contractual agreement with Arthur. He is obviously a legend in the market and his many years of service to the industry are deeply appreciated. He will be sorely missed.”
F-him... I hear he was a nice guy... But F-him... Arthur P is the biggest rock jock in Detroit for one reason... He has a deep voice... That is it! He has never made any one think, laugh, or feel anything... He is just a voice. This is the one thing I hated about radio even before I got in it (maybe because my voice is awful) is that you didn't have to have any type of originality in this biz to succeed... Arthur P made MILLIONS and then walked away from it because they didn't want to pay him even more to blather about nothing with a deep voice... Double f-him... I hope he gets throat cancer and ends up not being able to use that booming voice to call a nurse while he has liquid bowel movements on himself... Best of luck Arthur and continued success you hack.

Author P is the opitomie of shitty hosting, I agree 110% Dubs, this man has not givin one chuckle to the public in the 20 yrs I've heard his boring ass on Detroit radio, in fact I turned the station everytime he started to speak! And when I did hear him he made me never want to ROCK again! Furthermore his folowing act the Doc of Rock is equally as terrible!
